J&B Rare is a Scotch Whisky that brings together the big bold flavours of single malts with lighter grain whiskies to create a fresh and vibrant blend. Inspired by an Italian, created in London and distilled in Scotland, J&B Rare is unlike any other Scotch whisky. Bringing together 42 single malt and grain whiskies and carefully blending them to create a subtle, smooth and complex Scotch. At the heart of J&B Rare are malt whiskies from Speyside, a region recognised as the superior area in Scotland for making single malt whisky. They provide the fruity, fresh quality and give J&B Rare its light colour. Added to that are some of the finest grain whiskies Scotland has to offer. Fruity and aromatic on the nose with notes of soft apple and pear, J&B Rare is naturally pale in colour, with layers of rich vanilla and a well-balanced, smooth finish. Matured in oak casks for a minimum of three years, the finer ‘heart malts' are aged for longer to add fullness and depth of flavour, creating the unique taste of J&B Rare. Ready to be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or as the perfect canvas for whisky cocktails. With Speyside at its heart, J&B Rare has a light flavour profile. Combining forty-two malts and grain whiskies in one smooth yet subtle blend, the heart of J&B Rare is formed from some of the finest Speyside malts, including Knockando, Strathmill, Glen Spey and Auchroisk. These are blended together before being returned to cask for a further three years maturation. Lively and light, New Grain creates a subtle canvas for the blend. New Malt adds body and aromatic notes of spice and fresh fruit. These are perfectly balanced by American oak and just a hint of smoke. 40% ABV
