Introduction
Family-owned and operated for over 105 years. H.B.Clark has been supplying the
On-Trade with a selection of wines ranging from popular brands through to fine table
wines and Champagnes. Over the past decade we have seen wine become an
increasingly important and valuable element of the drinking experience. Six years ago,
we decided to invest in this area by developing a specialist and experienced team to
support our growing customer base for wines. To ensure H.B.Clark provide you with a
leading edge service our investment in wine has continued and all our Sales Managers
are trained at least to the Intermediate WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) standard.
Customers have been looking for House and Entry level wines which offer more exclusivity to the On-Trade
and which do not appear on supermarket shelves. Our strategy has been to find wines particularly in this
range offering very good value and made by some of the most innovative winemakers of today. We have
also concentrated on developing relationships with suppliers to increase the exclusivity to H.B.Clark of the
wines we list.
This Wine Selection also shows details of our comprehensive service for advice on wines, compiling wine
lists and menus, staff training and other customer support. Any of our Sales Managers can provide you with
fullest details of these aspects of the H.B.Clark service.
We have been delighted at your response to our previous WINE SELECTIONS. The changes we have made
in this edition are designed to extend the range of wines we offer in both the Old and New World, to give
even more relevant information on our wines and to show our continuing commitment to improving
customers’ choice without making concessions on quality and value.
Accordingly we believe this WINE SELECTION will help us to maintain the growth in sales and the numbers
of customers who have chosen H.B.Clark to satisfy their wine needs. Our intention remains to provide you
with the best possible service with QUALITY, VALUE FOR MONEY and EXCLUSIVITY.
